It was Dr. Majeed’s foresightedness, who introduced health-promoting benefits of Ayurveda to Americans way back in 90s through a new line of products based on Indian herbal plants, that has led to the genesis of Sami-Sabinsa Group Limited (formerly known as Sami Chemicals & Extracts Limited) in 1991 at Bangalore (India) as a R&D facility.
Today, the main thrust and focus of Sami-Sabinsa Group is on new product development and market-oriented research. In addition, Sami-Sabinsa Group has presence and strategic alliances in USA, Europe, Japan, Australia, Middle East, South Africa, China, Vietnam, and Philippines to cater to the expanding global market.
The global revenue of the company stood at USD 65 million (for 2009), with an employee strength of 150 people internationally, and more than 750 in India and over 120 scientists worldwide.

The finest quality, medicinal, raw materials, acquired from different parts of the world are sent to Hanbury’s manufacturing facility for processing and packaging before export from its Warehouse and Distribution Center, a 10,000 sq. ft. facility located in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, accessible to Africa, the Middle East, and the Far East.
