Sabinsa Corp., a subsidiary of Sami Labs, Ltd., has been awarded the second Thomas Alva Edison Patent Award for 2005 in the Enabling Technology/Small Company category for US Patent 6,849,645 concerning the invention entitled "Method of Increased Bioavailability of Nutrients and Pharmaceutical Preparations with Tetrahydropiperine and its Analogues and Derivatives".

The Thomas Alva Edison Patent Award recognizes the most revolutionary product innovations and important scientific breakthroughs originating in New Jersey.
