Pterostilbene (3,5-dimethoxy-4ʹ-hydroxy-trans-stilbene) is found in blueberries and grapes and is naturally present in Pterocarpus marsupium (Indian Kino tree). Pterostilbene is part of the phytoalexin family—compounds plants produce to support their natural defense processes. Silbinol® is a proprietary natural pterostilbene ingredient for nutritional applications, extracted from the dried heartwood of Pterocarpus marsupium and standardized to 5%, 30%, and 90% pterostilbene.
